Keane signs new contract with Sligo

Sligo Rovers have announced that versatile defender Alan Keane has agreed a new contract with the club for the 2011 season. The club have also confirmed that talks with a number of players are taking place and there will be further announcements over the coming days.
Keane joined the Bit ‘o’ Red in 2009 after his contract expired with Galway United and has been a regular member of Paul Cook’s starting XI. His 92nd minute penalty against St. Patrick’s Athletic on the last day of the season ensured Sligo’s qualification for the Europa League 2010/11.
