Keane to ramble back to Cobh
Cobh Ramblers have confirmed that they will host Roy Keane's Sunderland this July.
Ramblers Chairman Barry Walsh, yesterday confirmed to the clubs website that the friendly game will be going ahead. He said "I spoke with the man himself Roy, this afternoon and he has given me his word that the game on the 16th July is a definite starter as part of their pre-season tour. I spoke with Roy last year and we discussed this. There may have been a small bit of confusion over dates but it was nothing major and Roy was extremely accommodating during today's conversation"
It looks likely that the game will take place at Turners Cross.
Sunderland had already confirmed two other dates against eircom league clubs in August.
On August 7th they visit Lissywollen to take on Athlone, and two days later at Tolka Park they face Shamrock Rovers.
