Richmond Park will play host to a crucially awaited Dublin derby this Saturday, as St. Patrick’s Athletic take on Bohemians. (Kick-off 1.00pm)

As a closely fought season nears its conclusion, neither side can afford to walk away from Inchicore with less than three points. For current league Champions Bohemians, a win will continue to pile on the ever growing pressure on title rivals Shamrock Rovers.

The Saints, however, know nothing less than a win will suffice, as the battle for the lucrative third spot, and possible Europa League qualification heats up with Paul Cook’s Bit O’ Red.

Bohemians will travel to Richmond Park in high spirits, following a dramatic victory against Rovers in Dalymount Park last Tuesday. The Gypsies boss Pat Fenlon is taking nothing for granted however, and is well aware of how threatening the Saints can be. Fenlon acknowledges;

“We will need everybody up for the game. We haven’t beaten them in the league this season but all the matches have been tight.”

In the previous three league encounters this season, there have been two 1-1 draws as well as an impressive 3-1 home victory to the St. Patrick’s Athletic. The latest encounter between the sides saw a Dave Mulcahy strike in added time give the Saints a hard earned point in Dalymount. The player, speaking with www.stpatsfc.com, remains focussed on the challenge ahead for him and his team mates;

“We just have to keep the head down, work away, stay positive and claim that third place and then with the cup, well anything can happen there.”

Saturday’s result will have a ripple effect on teams throughout the Premier Division, but both sides will now focus solely on putting on a performance worthy of three priceless points.
