Waterford United have today confirmed that the contract of Daryl Kavanagh has been terminated with immediate effect.

The 23-year-old returned to the Blues at the end of July 2010 having played the first half of the season with Limerick. Kavanagh played in the RSC between 2005 and 2007. He had signed for Limerick at the beginning of last season and scored twice this season for Pat Scully’s side.

Kavanagh starred for Carrick United in which he played in the Munster Senior Cup final, and won an FAI Junior Cup medal. That was followed by a year with Stephen Henderson’s Cobh Ramblers in 2008, before signing with Limerick at the start of the 2009 season.
