Kenna a doubt for Galway game

UCD manager Pete Mahon may be without the services of Conor Kenna for this Friday's game against Galway United at the Belfield Bowl.

Kenna had to leave the action on Tuesday night with fifteen minutes remaining in Ireland's U23 game against Northern Ireland in Lurgan.

The UCD captain had put in a Man of the Match performance at centre back before aggravating a pelvic related injury.

Manager Pat Fenlon revealed to extratime.ie that it wasn't a new injury - "I spoke to Pete Mahon last week about Conor and he was carrying a knock on the hip flexor and in fairness to Pete he said he will want to play so if he is fit you play him".

Fenlon continued - "We done that and Conor felt it again so hopefully he will be alright for the weekend because Pete has been great in relation to the players. I will be disappointed if he doesn't make it for the weekend to be honest".

Kenna was probably UCD's most consistent performer last season.

UCD are already without centre back Brian Shortall for the visit of Jeff Kenna's Galway. Shortall is suspended for the game as a result of reaching four penalty points.
