Fenn announces his retirement

Dundalk forward Neale Fenn has announced his retirement from football with immediate effect due to personal reasons.
The 33-year-old has played a pivotal part for Ian Foster's men this season and has missed only one competitive game all season.
Fenn, who was raised in London, began his career with Tottenham Hotspur and has since played for a host of clubs including Leyton Orient, Norwich City, Swindon Town, Lincoln City, Peterborough United, Waterford United, Cork City and Bohemians, where he won the League and Cup double in 2008 under Pat Fenlon.
The striker will be fondly remembered by Lillywhite fans for his efforts this year. Last week Fenn scored a 95th minute equaliser against Galway to rescue a much needed point for Dundalk and has scored other crucial goals for the team this year.
Speaking to dundalkfc.com Fenn said he can't see himself coming out of retirement and making a U-turn, but feels he doesn't think he will miss the game too much.
“I think once you finish you might as well finish rather than making all sorts of comebacks. At the moment, I can’t see myself coming back at all,” he insisted.
“At the moment, I don’t feel as if I’m going to miss the game. But obviously in a month’s time I think I’ll say I really miss it and I’ll be itching to get back in. But I’ll have the coaching and I’ll still be playing a little bit of football, so that will keep me going.”
