Old Stagers take Lilywhites marching on

Extratime caught up with an understandably bubbly Ian Foster after their victory over CS Grevenmacher, he still had his mind firmly fixed on the next league game rather than the glamorous Europa League game in Bulgaria "I'm delighted, absolutely to be through, but I'll prepare for Shamrock Rovers on Sunday and I'll worry about Levski Sofia on Sunday night."

Thankfully the Lilywhites picked up no new injuries "Everyone come through ok, there’s no bangs, we're alright obviously we've got Faz (Kudozovic) and Garry Breen missing through suspension and (Liam) Burns and (Peter) Cherrie won't be available but we'll go there and try and get some points."

The experienced strike duo of Fenn and Faz proved to be a real handful for the CSG defence and Ian was thrilled with them "The movement, composure and technique of (Neale) Fenn and (Faz) Kudozovic was apparent for everyone to see I thought they worked incredibly well together, they link up really good. Fenn drops into pockets that defenders don't really want to go and I'm delighted with the pair of them, when the two strikers score goals its fantastic for them.

In a repeat of Mondays game Dundalk sat back a little in the second half was Ian concerned about this? "We knew we could hit them on the break and we've hit the woodwork 4 or 5 times, I can't complain about anything tonight the lads have put on a first class performance."

So on to Bulgaria for the next leg and then the promise of another magical night at Oriel in the return leg but before that the bread and butter of a Sunday trip to Tallaght.
