Shamrock Rovers will make their return to European competition against
opponents from either Israel or Armenia in the Europa League
qualifying round.
FC Ulysses of Yerevan and Bnei Yehuda of Tel Aviv are the potential opposition for Rovers.
Ulysses finished third in the Armenian top division and are currently celebrating their tenth year in existence.
The club’s third-placed finish was their highest ever, and this marks their first foray into European competition.
Bnei Yehuda finished fifth in last season’s Israeli Premier League and reached the play-off for the Europa League group stage last season before losing to PSV Eindhoven.
Despite bearing the name of Tel Aviv, Bnei Yahuda play their matches in nearby Jaffa in the 15,000 capacity Bloomfield Stadium.
