Shamrock Rovers v FC Ulysses(Armenia) / Beni Yehuda(Israel)
Maritimo (Portugal) v Sporting Fingal
Levski Sofia v Dundalk / Grevenmacher (Lux)

13:25 - Matithiho of Portugal to play SPORTING FINGAL

13:25 - SHAMROCK ROVERS to play FC Ulysses or Beni Yehuda...

13:24 - Sofia to play DUNDALK if they qualify!!

13:22 - Mental draw, 8 games at once. No Irish yet

13:21 - Draw begins....

13:19 - 8 groups of 10. 5 seeded, 5 unseeded.

13:18 - Here we go. 80 teams in this. Technical explanations. This one will be a little more involved.

13:16 - Exact same speech again.

13:16 - Third time Platini can't join us. He is 55. Who would have known. Once again we wish him happy birthday. Again.

13:15 - On cue, the balded man returns with news of seedings...

13:14 - Tick tock, the draw should be starting back any minute now...

13:10 - They should have held this draw tomorrow or any other day, seeing as today is the last of the 12:30 world cup games!

13:02 - We are almost back on. No doubt UEFA are waiting for the end of the first half of Portugal v North Korea.

12:34 - Shamrock Rovers and Sporting Fingal would need no more than six of the first round ties to have a higher seeding than them to remain seeded. I think.

12:23 - Ok 45 minute break for UEFA to figure out the seedings.

12:21 - So far so good for the Irish sides, but not so tasty for the Northern Irish sides

12:21 - So the final Group is being drawn and then we move to the second round and featuring Sporting Fingal and Shamrock Rovers.

12:17 - DUNDALK take on Grevenmaher of Luxembourg!!. First leg at home

12:16 - KR of Iceland draw GLENTORAN

12:16 - Here we go. Dundalk and Glentoran's group is now starting!!

12:14 - PORTADOWN will play Skonto Riga of Latvia. First leg at home!

12:13 - Portadown's group now, that being Group 3

12:11 - The other man gets to read it out and aces it. Balded man is shamed.

12:09 - The poor balded man is confronted with a Hungarian team with far too many letters in an unpronounceable order. He fails to read it out. Will he manage to do it on second attempt?

12:08- Group 1 matches are drawn. Moving onto Group 2 now.

12:06 - Dundalk are in Group 4. So we have a few teams before that to be drawn. Glentoran and Portadown feature in this First Round as well.

12:04 - 52 teams, 5 different groups. 4 x 10 and 1 x 12. Dundalk's unseeded competition is listed below.

12:04 - Four teams are not present in the room. Named and shamed they were.

12:02 - Praise for the Europa Cup is being relayed. The message now is one of Respect. and now the draw! Technical information is being explained again. Mild applause for a new talker.

12:01 - The same balded man is back. The same room. Different cup on display. Same speech. Deja vu.

12:00 - Once again the draw takes place in the House of European Football, Nyon, it remains Platini's birthday, 55, and he is still not present to oversee the draws.

11:58am - Two minutes before the start of the draw now. Positions please...

11:53am - Dundalk fans out there, who would you like to draw?

11:45am - 14 minutes till draw off, and with 105 or so teams, I suspect this could take a little longer than the Champions League draw. You can comment below, so please do, as it can get lonely in here

11:42am - Shamrock Rovers and Sporting Fingal are placed 33rd and 34th in a list of 54 automatic second round sides. The 80 teams involved in the second qualifying round are divided into eight groups of ten, each containing five seeded and five unseeded teams. The draw follows the same procedure as the first qualifying round, with the groupings to be confirmed after the draw for the first qualifying round.

11:37am - Twenty minutes away now from the Europa Draw. Dundalk are in the First Round and are seeded, and will face potential opponents in: EB Strymur, Glentoran, JK Trans Narva of Estonia, Llanelli AFC of Wales or CS Grevenmacher of Luxembourg.

11:20am - The first draw is over. Bohemians have to be pleased with that. Linfield less so. The Europa League draw will be covered later at 12am onwards.

11:19am - Linfield are now drawn and have a tough match against Rosenborg, first leg at home. That is a tough draw.

11:18am - So Bohemians have drawn TNS of Wales, the the first game taking play in Dalymount. I think Fenlon will be pleased with that draw!!

11:17am - BOHEMIANS will play The NEW SAINTS from Wales!! First game in Dalymount

11:16am - First out is Salzburg against Torshavn..

11:15am - The Group Two pot is over. HERE WE GO!

11:11am - More teams, more unpronouncable names. Group Two is underway. Dynamo Zagreb v Koper to begin...

11:10am - Ok Group One is over now. We draw nearer to Bohs pot. Nervous Bohs fans out there?

11:09am - Liepajas Metalurgs draw Sparta Prague.

11:08am - Group One is being draw now, Bohemians are in Group Three. We have a few minutes before that group is reached. Sparta Prague are in this first pot, and Belgarde.

11:07am - Fear not, I am not replicating any more bar some biggies, and of course Bohemians draw.

11:06am - First Round is underway and Tre Fiori of San Marino play Rudar, and that means Santa Coloma play Birkirkara. First round draw over!!

11:04am - Oh my god, we are starting. No fanfare. FK Ekranas just arrived. Phew!! Some technical notices are being explained.

11:02am - The Final, 28th May 2011 is in Wembley this year, Bohemians will be taking on Barcelona is my guess.

11:01am - A bald gentleman has welcomed everyone, where is my Ricky Martin style dancing and stage show. Platini is not arsed to be there. 55 today. Happy Birthday.

11:00am - The draw is taking place in the House of European Football, Nyon, Switzerland. Here we go, a good solid blast of Champions League music in case some folks have fallen asleep.

10:58am - We are two minutes to the start of probably 30 minutes of waffle before a ball is even close to being fondled in a pot. Maybe they will be really fast this year. Maybe... we can be hope.

10:53am - We have been requested to take our seats in the Auditorium now, as the giant timer counts down. Six minutes to launch off!!! This is horribly exciting, kinda.

10:50am - samsneed, I'd say Bohs would like to avoid any costly travel arrangements alright. Of course, even if they drew Linfield, they would have to stay in Northern Ireland the night before as part of UEFA rules I believe.

10:50am - On a side note, Bohs are seeded in Group three with Rosenburg, Salzburg, BATE, AIK, and Shels one time conquerors Ekranas!

10:45am - The most interesting draw Bohemians can get is against Linfield. Especially with the Pat Fenlon angle too. I wonder is that the one Fenlon would like or maybe a trip to Wales or Brian Kerr's adopted land of the Faroes?

10:40am - The excitement mounts as the live feed has now changed to inform us all that Event Coverage is starting soon. Can we hope, nay, dream of some Ricky Martin style intro dancing with an abundance of pointless jibber jabber. The lengths UEFA and FIFA go to for to jazz up pulling balls from a pot never ceases to amaze.

10:32am - The Who's who of Football is down in South Africa at the moment, I wonder which superstars will pull the balls out today. I'd love if they could get Anelka and Maradona to flank Platini. That would be entertaining at least.

10.27am - Bohemians have played 16 times in the Champions League, with only three wins, four draws and nine losses. The Dublin side has notched up a total of 12 wins in European competition from 60 games.

10.19am - Ireland's representative in this draw is Bohemians, who are seeded in Pot Three, could face: HJK Helsinki of Finland, FH of Iceland, HB Tórshavn of the Faroes, The New Saints of Wales, Linfield of Northern Ireland or Jeunesse Esch of Luxembourg

10.16am - Just under 45 minutes now until the first 36 teams enter the draws for the first two qualifying rounds of the Champions League. For those not wise to the working of the qualifying rounds, the first qualifying round comprises two two-legged ties involving the champions of the countries ranked 50 to 53 in UEFA competition, with the highest-ranked pair seeded. Slots for the winners of those two ties will be set aside in the second qualifying round draw, when they are joined by 32 countries ranked 17 to 49 in UEFA competition (except Liechtenstein). The 34 teams are divided into one group (Group 1) of ten teams, and into two groups (Groups 2 and 3) of 12 teams. Each group is made up of equal numbers of seeded and unseeded sides.
