Molumby pens contract extension with West Brom
Republic of Ireland midfielder Jayson Molumby has signed a new contract with West Bromwich Albion, extending his stay at the club until the summer of 2028.
The 25-year-old joined the Baggies initially on loan from Brighton in 2021 before making his move permanent in 2022. Since arriving at The Hawthorns, Molumby has made 125 appearances and scored seven goals for the club.
This season, Molumby has already featured in 22 Sky Bet Championship games. Speaking about his new deal, the midfielder expressed excitement about continuing his journey with the club.
“I’ve been at the club since 2021 and it’s a place where I feel really happy,” said Molumby.
“There are so many good people here who I love being around every single day, and I’m delighted to be extending my contract.
“I’ve been pleased with my performances this season, but everyone knows I want to get even better, and I believe I’m on the right track to doing that here at Albion.
“We all want to be successful this season and I’m completely focused on giving everything I’ve got every week to help us achieve what we want to achieve.”
