Jamie McCart has swapped Rotherham United for SPL outfit Hearts.

The 27 year old defender is a former Scottish underage international and had made 16 League One appearances so far in the 2024//25 season.

A graduate of the Glasgow Celtic Academy, he left the club in July 2018 to join Inverness Caledonian Thistle before leaving for St Johnstone in January 2020, where he became a Scottish League Cup and Scottish Cup winner.

A move to English football in the summer of 2022 saw McCart arrive at Rotherham United and a loan deal at Leyton Orient for 2022/23 saw him pick up promotion from League Two before just missing out on promotion in a similar temporary deal at Barnsley last season.
