Newport County have signed former Shelbourne goalkeeper Lewis Webb after a season with Caernarfon Town.

The 22 year old Newport born former Wales Under 21 international was the starting keeper for The Reds at the start of the 2022 season, having signed on loan from Swansea City.

Having started his career in Cardiff City’s Academy before joining Newport Town’s Academy, Merthyr Town, then Swansea City’s youth setup and playing in the Welsh Premier Division for Aberystwyth Town and Caernarfon, Shelbourne remains the only club outside Wales he has played for.

Back at Rodney Parade he will link up with former Waterford defender Cameron Evans, ex Drogheda United and Shelbourne teenager Joshua Seberry alongside Kilkenny man Ciaran Brennan and Kerry’s Shane McLoughlin.
