Twenty year old Dubliner Darragh Dunne has signed for Wexford FC, one of a number of Wexford signings this week.

The defender moved to St Patrick’s Athletic after starting his career at Cherry Orchard. A move to Swedish outfit Ytterhogdals IK, managed by former Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk FC forward Thomas Stewart, gave the youngster his first taste of regular adult football.

Returning to Ferrycarrig Park for 2025 are a number of key performers from the 2024 season. Kildare native Alex Moody made 10 First Division appearances for the Slaneysiders last season and the 22 year old netminder returns for his third season at the club- a year at Bray Wanderers in 2023 breaking his service at the club for a single season since his first arrival from the Shamrock Rovers Academy in 2022.

Mikie Rowe, a Campile Co Wexford native, racked up 13 goals last season and has committed to a second season at the club- over a decade after first arriving in the League of Ireland with the Waterford Academy. A spell with Tormenta in the USA was ended when he returned to the league with Galway United before spending the 2023 season on loan with Cobh Ramblers before joining Wexford ahead of the 2024 campaign.

Gorey’s Darragh Levingston is another local to sign up for the 2025 season- his fourth with the club. The 22 year old is rapidly chasing down a century of appearances (he is currently on 78), after arriving from Bray Wanderers during the 2022 season.
