Wexford re-sign Aaron Dobbs as Robbie McCourt makes switch from Waterford
Wexford have announced the return of striker Aaron Dobbs ahead of the 2025 season.
The Enniscorthy man, 25, has scored 43 goals in 131 appearances for Wexford since first appearing in the 2017 season.
Dobbs is the second-highest goal scorer in the club’s history, establishing himself as a fan favourite at Ferrycarrig Park.
But boss Stephen Elliott has been able to add further to his ranks, with defender Robbie McCourt joining from Waterford.
The 26-year-old has also played for Dundalk, Sligo Rovers, Bohemians and West Brom.
"When I knew there was a chance of signing someone of Robbie’s experience and, more importantly, quality, it was a no-brainer," Elliott said.
"He’s a player with vast experience who will bring calmness and invaluable knowledge to the group.
"I truly believe Robbie is more than capable of playing in the top division here, so getting him over the line is a real coup for Wexford."
