First Division Cobh Ramblers have added Cian Murphy, Shane Griffin and Niall O’Keefe to their squad ahead of the 2025 season.

The trio have committed to the cause at St Colman’s Park, following in the footsteps of Brendan Frahill and Jason Abbott who have re-signed for the Rams.

It signals boss Mick McDermott’s first foray into the transfer market since taking charge at the club earlier this month.

Murphy joins Cobh from Cork City, having made over 100 senior appearances with the Leesiders.

He made 25 first-team appearances this year as City won promotion back to the top-flight.

Griffin joins from Bray Wanderers having previously lined out with Waterford.

The playmaker helped Bray make the promotion/relegation play-off final this season before losing the decider to Drogheda United.

Meanwhile, O’Keefe - who played with Griffin at the Blues - joins following a year in the Premier Division with Waterford under Keith Long.

Though the return of Frahill and Abbott is a boost with the duo experienced campaigners at the club.

“It was important to get Jason and Brendán over the line first,” boss McDermott said.

“The club means a lot to both of them being from the town and they will pass that on to those around them during the season.”
