Drogheda United has secured the services of goalkeeper Jack Brady as their first acquisition looking forward to the 2025 season.

The 27-year-old goalie moves to the team after his recent stint with Galway United during the latter half of the 2024 season.

Brady's career includes over 50 matches for Longford Town as well as spells at Shelbourne, Limerick, and Treaty United.

Brady expressed his enthusiasm about reuniting with manager Kevin Doherty, under whom he debuted nearly a decade ago in the League of Ireland.

"I worked under Kevin before. He gave me my debut in the League of Ireland almost 10 years ago and Daire was my captain so to play under the two lads now is a great opportunity for me," Brady remarked.

Looking forward to the upcoming season, Brady shared his anticipation.

“I can’t wait to get started in January, it’s going to be great to be in a full-time setup and a professional standard. We have a lot coming up next season and a lot of games that will come around quickly, starting from the Presidents Cup and then going into the summer and playing in Europe. I’m raring to go.”
