LSL Senior Sunday: Lucan United see off Kilbarrack United as St Francis and UCD score wins
Lucan United condemned leaders Kilbarrack United to their first defeat of the season with a 3-1 triumph on Friday night.
Keith Baker’s reigning champions began the season slowly but have shown their mettle in recent weeks with three wins in their last five.
Though this success was their most significant yet.
But they fell behind early on with a Mark Townley spot-kick sending Kilbarrack United ahead.
Mark Byrne equalised for the hosts soon after before Dylan Clausen sent Lucan into the lead on the stroke of half-time.
Former Shelbourne striker Jamie Doyle then sealed the win with a 70th-minute strike.
