Bray Wanderers to install artificial surface at the Carlisle Grounds
Works have started to install an artificial surface at Bray Wanderers’ Carlisle Grounds home ahead of the 2025 season.
The Quinsborough Road venue will become the sixth current League of Ireland venue to have an artificial surface - joining Derry City, Athlone Town, Dundalk, Cobh Ramblers and Kerry.
Though it remains to be seen if Derry City keep hold of theirs ahead of the 2025 season.
And in a statement released by Bray chairman Tony Richardson, he said the decision was made by the club’s commitment to have all of their teams train in Bray.
“At the end of this season, we made a commitment to bring all aspects of our club under one roof and have the club, including our academy, based at the Carlisle Grounds,” he said.
“We believe this move will greatly strengthen the heart of the club and bring multiple performance benefits across the first team and academy.
“To facilitate this development, we are converting our playing surface to all-weather, and have commissioned PST Sports to deliver a Pro Standard playing surface for us.
“These are exciting times for the club and this investment is evidence of our commitment to continuous improvement.
“We will host an open day in the new year, and will be in touch to invite fans to meet the 2025 squads and experience our new playing surface.”
