Dean McMenamy extends contract with Waterford
Having joined Waterford at the start of the 2023 season, Dean McMenamy enters his third year at the RSC following an extension to his contract.
The 22-year-old began his professional career at Shamrock Rovers academy before transferring to Longford Town on loan.
While at the Red and Black, the midfielder where he got his first taste of senior football in the First Division during the 2022 campaign.
He subsequently signed a full-time permanent deal with Waterford.
The midfielder has become a fan favourite with the Blues and has racked up more than 60 appearances for the club.
“I’m delighted to get the new deal done, and to be back at Waterford for another season,” McMenamy told waterfordfc.ie.
“I’ve been here for the last 2 seasons – from getting promoted & staying up last season I’ve loved every minute of it.
“I’m looking forward to next season, especially with us having a good season this year. We just want to build on that & kick on, and hopefully do something special next year.”
