Stephen Walsh and Ed McCarthy pen new deals with Galway United
Premier Division Galway United have confirmed that they have re-signed Stephen Walsh and Ed McCarthy ahead of the 2025 campaign.
Both players enjoyed impressive Premier Division campaigns with the Tribesmen and have been rewarded for their efforts.
However, the club have also confirmed that Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe, Francely Lomboto and Karl O’Sullivan have departed the Eamonn Deacy Park outfit.
Galwegian Walsh made 34 appearances in all competitions last season for United and scored 9 times.
He also recorded three assists in that period as he finished top scorer for the club in 2024.
Limerick man McCarthy played 36 games for United in 2024 and contributed via four goals and an assist.
We're thrilled to share that Mr Galway United himself, Stephen Walsh is back for 2025
