In Pictures: Drogheda United 2 - 0 Derry City
Drogheda United lifted the FAI Cup for just the second time in their history on Sunday afternoon at the Aviva Stadium.
The Boynesiders were deserving winners in front of 38,733 supporters in Dublin 4 as they nullified and bested Derry City throughout.
Andrew Quinn opened the scoring for Kevin Doherty’s men before Douglas James-Taylor sealed it with a second half penalty kick.
Derry City - as a result of their defeat - will not play European football next season, with Drogheda taking their place.
