Dundalk unveil Ciaran Kilduff as new first-team boss
Relegated Premier Division side Dundalk have confirmed that they have appointed Ciaran Kilduff as their new boss ahead of their return to the First Division.
The former Lilywhites striker played for the Oriel Park outfit under Stephen Kenny but rejoins as manager having led Athlone Town to success in the Women’s Premier Division.
During his first year in charge of Athlone, he lifted the FAI Cup.
The Kildare native backed it up this year with a Women’s Premier Division triumph.
Though he did see his side lose the FAI Cup final heavily to Shelbourne last month.
Kilduff takes charge of Dundalk from former boss Jon Daly who has returned to Scotland after relegation was confirmed for the Co Louth club.
