Brendan Clarke and Patrick Hickey re-sign for Galway United
Galway United have confirmed that Brendan Clarke and Patrick Hickey will be returning for the 2025 campaign.
The news was confirmed on Sunday evening as the two standout performers for the Tribesmen decided to stay on.
Goalkeeper Clarke was named in the 2024 PFAI Team of the Year and finished the season with 16 clean sheets.
The Dubliner also played every single minute this season, totaling 36 league games.
“It was a really enjoyable season,” Clarke said. “It is a really good group to work with on and off the pitch. People are ready to go to war for each other on the pitch.

“I’m delighted to be returning.”
The 39-year-old will be returning to Eamonn Deacy Park alongside Hickey who has caught the eye after joining from Athlone Town.
The American made 18 starts and had 14 appearances as a substitute.
“I am so happy to be back,” he said. “It was a great year. The people, the city and all my teammates were so welcoming and made me feel at home from day one.
“I’m excited now to go and raise the expectations.”
