Shamrock Rovers to face HJK Helsinki in Euro friendly action
Shamrock Rovers will play a set of friendlies against HJK Helsinki from Finland, with the match in Tallaght Stadium on Thursday 21st November at 8pm open to spectators with ticket details to be confirmed.
The following day the teams will play a behind-closed-doors game.
Both sides are playing in the Conference League and are seeking friendly games as they both play summer seasons.
In 2011, when Rovers were in the Europa League, they played an away friendly against Malmo. The Hoops didn’t need any friendlies in the Europa Conference League two seasons ago as the group stages ended before the conclusion of the league campaign (due to the World Cup in Qatar).
HJK play at home in Dinamo Minsk this Thursday in the Conference League the same night that the Hoops play Larne in Windsor Park. The Finnish side lost their opening league stage game 3-0 away to Lugano.
HJK have won the league for the last four seasons but finished third in the campaign that has just concluded.
