Rob Harvey has been named as the referee for the upcoming FAI Cup Final between Drogheda United and Derry City at the Aviva Stadium.

He officiated in the behind-closed-doors COVID-19 FAI Cup Final back in December 2020 when Dundalk defeated Shamrock Rovers 4-2 after extra-time.

He was the fourth official for last year's final that Paul McLaughlin refereed when St. Patrick's Athletic beat Bohemians 3-1.

This past month he led the League of Ireland officiating team in the UEFA Nations League clash between Estonia and Azerbaijan after earlier in October he was handed the high profile trip to referee Copenhagen’s 2-1 home defeat to Polish side Jagiellonia Białystok in the Confernce League.

Back in July, Harvey took charge of the qualifier between St. Gallen and Tobol (the Kazakhstani team who eliminated Derry City on penalties in the third qualifying round tie last year).
