Callum O’Dowda set to miss upcoming Ireland double-header

The Republic of Ireland squad began their preperations for the upcoming Finland and Greece matches on Monday but defender Callum O'Dowda has been ruled out for the UEFA Nations League matches. 

While O'Dowda played for Cardiff City in the 1-1 draw against Bristol City yesterday, he did not travel to Dublin due to injury and so Ireland will head to Finland and Greece with a 23-man squad.

Caoimhin Kelleher missed Liverpool’s game at the weekend due to illness, enabling former St. Patrick’s Athletic goalkeeper Vit Jaros to replace the injured Alisson last on in their win over Crystal Palace, the Cork man trained this morning at the FAI National Training Centre. He will travel with the squad to Helsinki tomorrow before the UEFA Nations League fixture against on Thursday, October 10.
