Madison Gibson scopes September’s SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division Player of the Month Award

Athlone Town’s American striker Madison Gibson has been voted the Women’s Premier Division Player of the Month for September.

Her spectacular goal in the recent 3-3 draw with Shamrock Rovers brought her league goal tally to six for the season. 

The Midlanders are favouritses to win the league title with just two games remaining and Gibson has been instrumental in her team’s succes so far this season.

She becomes just the third Athlone player to win this award following on from Laurie Ryan (April 2022) and Casey Howe (April 2024).
