TREATY UNITED

Out of sorts Treaty United host playoff contenders Athlone Town at the Markets Field (kick-off is at 7.45pm).

The Shannonsiders bowed out of the FAI Cup last weekend against Wexford, losing 4-1.

Striker Enda Curran was also forced off injured in that defeat.

But their league form has also been a worry with no wins in their last three.

Treaty’s last league win came away to Longford on August 10 when the Shannonsiders looked primed to start a late-season playoff charge.

But losses against Bray Wanderers (5-0) and Wexford (3-1), while a draw against Kerry (1-1) have all but ended those hopes.

ATHLONE TOWN

Winless in their last six league games, Athlone Town will be nervously looking over their shoulders ahead of the final few weeks of the season.

The Co Westmeath side were previously the closest challengers to champions Cork City but they have fallen away recently.

And they are now just two points ahead of sixth-placed Finn Harps.

Dario Castelo’s men have also lost their last four games in a row in all competitions and were dumped out of the FAI Cup last weekend by Drogheda United.

Referee: Lucas Keating.
