LSL Senior Sunday wrap: Kilbarrack United stretch lead at summit as Killester Donnycarney draw with Lucan United
Kilbarrack United stretched their lead at the top of the LSL Senior Sunday with a narrow 1-0 victory over Tolka Rovers.
Ross Carrig’s side, who brought FAI Cup quarter-finalists Treaty United to a penalty shootout in the second round of the competition, remain unbeaten following their triumph at Frank Cooke Park.
And it was former Usher Celtic man Jimmy McHugh who netted the winner for Kilbarrack with his fifth goal of the campaign in as many games.
Mark Townley played in the assist for McHugh to score after just 10 minutes to win it.
Kilbarrack are now seven points clear of second-placed Maynooth Town but have played two games more than them so far.

Meanwhile, Lucan United’s stuttering start continued as they drew 2-2 away to Killester Donnycarney at Hadden Park.
Last season’s champions have yet to hit their groove with just one victory on the board from their first four outings.
And they will be rueing their inability to claim three points in this one having led twice.
Vasyl Tropanets opened the scoring for Keith Baker’s men after two minutes from the spot before Killester Donnycarney equalised shortly after via former Shamrock Rovers youth Daniel Bergin.
Daniel Mhondiwa put Lucan back in front midway through the opening half but Jake Walker Grouse levelled again for the hosts on the hour to salvage a point.

They say never go back, but Declan Rice and Jack Grealish returned to Dublin and gave a timely reminder of what the Republic of Ireland are missing as England cruised to victory at the Aviva Stadium.https://t.co/hUh2wxkrMd
