Shamrock Rovers supporters who are set to travel to Belfast, London and Vienna for upcoming league stage matches of the Conference League will have their tickets capped at €20.

UEFA on Monday announced a reduction on the maximum ticket prices that home clubs can charge visiting fans across its three men’s club competitions – Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.

UEFA noted today that:

'this decision, endorsed by the UEFA Club Competitions Committee, highlights the crucial role that fans play in creating the exciting atmosphere that defines the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League and acknowledges the passionate support that fans provide their teams during crucial away matches.

By making away matches more accessible to fans, UEFA aims to preserve this unique aspect of European football culture.'

Starting this season, the maximum ticket prices for away fans will be €60 in the Champions League, €40 in the Europa League and €20 in the UEFA Conference League.

This will be further reduced next season to a maximum price of €50 in the Champions League, €35 in the Europa League while it will remain €20 in the Conference League.

These capped prices came after consultation with the European Club Association (ECA) and Football Supporters Europe (FSE).

It means of course that the Hoops will charge any visiting supporters to Tallaght from TNS, APOEL or Boruc €20.

When Rovers played in the Conference League in 2022, they had a two tier maximum price ticket for home supporters.

Category 1 tickets for central areas of the east and west stands were sold as a €90 package for all three home games (against Djurgardens, Molde and Gent) with individual match tickets sold at €35.

The remaining areas of the ground were sold for a €75 package (with €30 for individual matches).

With the draw only made on Friday, the Hoops have yet to announce ticket prices for the Conference League games. As per usual, Rovers will release ticket sales to members and then season ticket holders before any general sale.

Chelsea home fans will pay £27 to watch their match with Shamrock Rovers at Stamford Bridge on the 19th December.
