Wolverhampton Wanderers have secured the signing of Brazilian midfielder Andre from Fluminense on the final day of the transfer window.

The 23-year-old arrives at Molineux following a successful stint in Brazil, where he won multiple titles and made his mark as a defensive midfielder.

Andre started his career at Fluminense at just 12 years old. He made his senior debut seven years later and quickly became a regular in the team.

By 2023, Andre had helped Fluminense win the Copa Libertadores, South America's equivalent of the Champions League, and later competed in the Club World Cup against Manchester City. His trophy haul with Fluminense includes the Recopa Sudamericana, two Taca Guanabara titles, and two Campeonato Carioca victories.

This impressive run of form earned Andre his first call-up to the Brazilian national team in 2023, where he has since earned five caps. Unfortunately, an injury kept him out of the Copa America squad during the summer.
