Leicester City sign Odsonne Édouard on loan from Crystal Palace
Leicester City have confirmed the loan signing of striker Odsonne Édouard from Crystal Palace for the 2024/25 season.
Édouard, who has made 95 appearances in the Premier League since joining Crystal Palace in 2021, expressed his excitement about the move.
Speaking to LCFC.com, he said, “I can’t wait to get started. I’m really excited to be joining a team like Leicester City and to do what I can to help the team in the Premier League this season.”
He added, “There’s a fantastic squad here and I’m confident that the team has what it takes to be successful. I’ll be working hard to make sure I do everything I can to support my team and to show the fans what I can do on the pitch.”
Before his time at Crystal Palace, Édouard had a prolific spell with Celtic in the Scottish Premiership, where he scored 89 goals and helped secure several titles, including four league titles, two Scottish Cups, and three Scottish League Cups.
His journey to professional football began in Kourou, French Guiana, progressing through AF Bobigny and then joining Paris Saint-Germain in 2011. After a loan spell with Toulouse, he moved to Celtic on loan in 2017, eventually making the transfer permanent.
