Everton have confirmed the loan signing of Chelsea striker Armando Broja for the 2024/25 season, with an option to make the move permanent next summer.

The 22-year-old forward, capped 23 times by Albania, completed the move to Goodison Park on transfer deadline day.

Currently sidelined due to a foot injury, Broja will join Everton’s medical team immediately to continue his rehabilitation.

Everton's Director of Football, Kevin Thelwell, expressed his excitement over Broja's arrival, stating, "Having monitored Armando's journey for a number of years, we're very pleased to have been able to bring him to the club." He added,

"Armando is still a young player who has already built up some impressive experience but someone we also feel has lots more potential to be unlocked."

Thelwell emphasised that Everton's priority is to get Broja back to full fitness as soon as possible.

"First and foremost, we will work with him to get him fit as soon as possible. Then, his addition will strengthen our options in the attacking department," he explained.

Broja began his senior career with Chelsea, making his debut against Everton in March 2020. After joining Chelsea’s youth academy at the age of nine, he spent time on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, where he scored 11 goals in 34 appearances during the 2020/21 season.

A subsequent loan to Southampton in the Premier League saw him net nine goals in the 2021/22 campaign. Following his return to Chelsea, Broja signed a six-year contract and scored his first goal for the club against Wolves in October 2022.

However, a knee injury slowed his progress, and after making 19 appearances for Chelsea in the first half of the last season, Broja moved on loan to Fulham for the latter part of the 2023/24 season.
