Colchester United sign Irish striker Anthony Scully on loan for the season
Colchester United have added to their squad by signing forward Anthony Scully on a season-long loan from Portsmouth.
Scully, a 25-year-old striker, began his career at Premier League club West Ham United, where he developed through their youth system.
In 2020, he moved to Lincoln City, spending two seasons with the club and scoring 37 goals in all competitions across over 100 appearances.
Scully moved to Wigan Athletic in 2022 before exiting the club for Portsmouth a year later.
Born in Watford, Scully also boasts international experience with the Republic of Ireland, having represented his country at various youth levels, including U17, U19, and U21.
