Liverpool goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga joins Livingston after St Pat's stint
Livingston have secured the services of goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga on a season-long loan from Liverpool.
21-year-old Pitaluga's journey began in Brazil with Fluminense before he transferred to Liverpool in 2020. He also played a role in Brazil's U17 World Cup victory on home soil in 2019.
After moving to Liverpool at 17, Pitaluga developed through their youth ranks and even earned a spot on the first-team bench on four occasions during the 2021-22 season.
Last season, Pitaluga gained experience on loan with Macclesfield FC before joining St Patrick’s Athletic earlier this year.
He was initially set to spend the entire campaign with St Pat's in the League of Ireland Premier Division, which runs from February to November. However, his loan was cut short in July.
