Tranmere Rovers secure Saidou Khan on loan from Swindon Town
Tranmere Rovers have announced the season-long loan signing of Saidou Khan from Swindon Town.
The 28-year-old midfielder, a Gambian international, has been with Swindon since 2022.
Reflecting on his move to Tranmere, Khan said, "It just feels like you’re in a family club, and that’s what it’s about. I want to be in an environment where I feel like I can develop as a player and as a person, and I think it’s the right place to do that."
Manager Nigel Adkins expressed his excitement about the new addition, stating, "We are pleased to add the influential midfield player Saidou Khan to our close squad of hard-working players."
Khan began his career in English non-league football, playing for clubs such as Tooting & Mitcham United, Dulwich Hamlet, Carshalton Athletic, Chipstead, and Kingstonian. He joined Chesterfield in 2021, where he quickly made an impact and attracted attention from higher leagues.
Khan received his first call-up to the Gambia national team in May 2023 for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Sudan.
