Olympique de Marseille have announced the signing of Neal Maupay on loan from Everton FC, with an option to buy.

Maupay, who began his professional career with OGC Nice at just 16 years old, quickly made a name for himself in Ligue 1.

In his debut season, he became the fourth youngest player to feature in the French league and the second youngest to score a goal.

The 28-year-old striker registered 53 appearances and nine goals with Nice.

Following his stint with Nice, Maupay moved to AS Saint-Etienne, where he gained experience playing in the European Cup. He later joined Stade Brestois for the 2016/17 season, scoring 13 goals in 32 matches.

In 2017, Maupay signed with Brentford FC in the Championship, where he continued to showcase his talent with 41 goals and 14 assists in 95 appearances. His performances earned him a move to the Premier League with Brighton & Hove Albion in 2019, where he played for two seasons before moving to Everton FC in 2022.
