Birmingham City have announced the signing of winger Scott Wright from Rangers on a three-year contract.

27-year-old Wright's transfer to St. Andrew’s at Knighthead Park marks the end of his three-year stint at Rangers.

He was part of the team that secured the 55th Scottish Premiership title in 2021 and played a role in the UEFA Europa League Final against Eintracht Frankfurt the following year. Just days after that European showdown, Wright found the net in the Scottish Cup final, helping Rangers to lift the trophy.

Expressing his enthusiasm about the move, Wright told BluesTV, "I am absolutely delighted. It all happened very fast, but I am delighted to be here and excited to get going."

He continued, "Everybody from the outside can see this club and where it wants to go, and I am very grateful to be a part of that and on the journey."

Wright began his professional football career with Aberdeen, making 79 appearances for his hometown club between 2014 and 2021. During this period, he also spent a loan spell at Dundee, playing 13 matches.

At Rangers, Wright featured in more than 30 games in each of his full seasons, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists.

In addition to his club career, Wright has represented Scotland at youth international levels up to the Under-21s and was part of the squad that won a bronze medal at the Toulon Tournament in 2017.
