Blackpool sign Everton goalkeeper Harry Tyrer on loan
Blackpool have confirmed the season-long loan signing of Everton goalkeeper Harry Tyrer.
The 22-year-old shot-stopper joins the Seasiders after a positive season at Chesterfield, where he played a role in the club’s promotion to the Football League. During the 2023/24 campaign, Tyrer made 42 appearances for Chesterfield.
Tyrer has already gained experience with Everton's first team during pre-season matches, in addition to his time with their Under-23 squad in Premier League 2.
Upon joining Blackpool, Tyrer expressed his enthusiasm for the new opportunity. “I’m looking forward to meeting the fans and my team mates – I can’t wait to get started,” he said.
“This is a massive club with a great fan base, so it was a decision that I wasn’t going to turn down.”
Reflecting on his time at Chesterfield, Tyrer highlighted the importance of building strong relationships.
“I developed a really close connection with everyone at Chesterfield last season, and want to do that here at Blackpool,” he added.
The young goalkeeper is eager to embrace the challenges ahead with Blackpool.
“I’m expecting it to be a good challenge for me this season, and it’s one that I know I am ready for. I love winning and that’s what I’ll be aiming to help the team do many times this season.”
