Leeds United secure loan signing of Manor Solomon from Tottenham Hotspur
Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Manor Solomon on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
25-year-old winger Solomon started his professional journey at Maccabi Petah Tikva in Israel before moving to Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2019.
His time with the Ukrainian side included winning the Ukrainian Premier League twice, the Ukrainian Cup, and the Ukrainian Super Cup.
During his three seasons at Shakhtar, Solomon made 16 appearances in the UEFA Champions League. He scored against Atalanta and Manchester City, and netted twice against Real Madrid in the 2020/21 season.
In 2022, Solomon joined Fulham on a season-long loan. He scored his first goal in a win against Nottingham Forest and continued his form by scoring in four consecutive league matches.
After his successful stint at Fulham, Solomon signed a five-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur last summer. He made a strong start at Spurs, featuring in five of their first seven Premier League matches. However, an injury at the end of September sidelined him for the remainder of the season.
Solomon returned to action during pre-season, contributing to Spurs' wins against Heart of Midlothian, Queens Park Rangers, and Vissel Kobe. On the international stage, he has earned 37 caps for Israel, scoring seven goals.
