West Bromwich Albion have announced the signing of Callum Styles from Barnsley on a permanent basis.

Styles, a Hungary international, becomes Albion's ninth signing in this summer’s transfer window. The 24-year-old midfielder has agreed to a four-year contract with the club.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the move, Styles commented, "This is a big club and it should be in the Premier League. The ambition for everyone is to get back there. I couldn’t turn an opportunity like this down."

He further highlighted his abilities, stating, "I’ve got good energy and I think my positional awareness and understanding of the game will help the team a lot."

Styles is expected to bring versatility to West Brom's lineup, with the ability to play both as an attacking wing-back on the left side and in central midfield.

"I can play in a couple of positions," he added.

"I’d like to put my case across in any of those positions and hopefully start as many games as possible."

Carlos Corberán, head coach of West Bromwich Albion, praised the new addition: "I am delighted to welcome Callum to The Hawthorns. He arrives with Championship and international experience, as well as some excellent character references."
