Harvey Blair leaves Liverpool to sign with Portsmouth
Portsmouth have announced the signing of 20-year-old forward Harvey Blair from Liverpool. Blair has agreed to a three-year contract with the League One side, which includes an option to extend for a further year.
Portsmouth manager John Mousinho praised the young player, saying, "Harvey’s a fantastic young player, who has shown plenty of potential after coming through Liverpool’s academy."
Mousinho believes Blair will make an immediate impact at Fratton Park and is also a strong prospect for the future. "I feel like he’s the type of player we’ll all be excited to see at Fratton Park," Mousinho added.
Blair began his journey with Liverpool at the under-12 level and progressed through the ranks, signing his first professional contract in October 2020. He made his senior debut for Liverpool in a 2-0 victory against Preston in the Carabao Cup's fourth round the following year.
During his time with Liverpool, Blair was included in the squad for their pre-season tour in the USA, where he featured in games against Real Betis, Arsenal, and Manchester United. He also participated in the pre-season match against Las Palmas at Anfield.
