Fulham have completed the signing of Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge from Burnley.

The 26-year-old has committed to a five-year contract, with an option for an additional year, keeping him at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2029. Berge will wear the number 16 shirt for the Cottagers.

Berge expressed his excitement in an interview with FFCtv, saying, "It feels fantastic. It’s been a little bit back and forth the last few weeks, but I’m finally sitting here in the shirt in this beautiful stadium, knowing that my future is here, which feels great." He added, "Fulham has always been a team that excited me. I’ve played them both in the Championship and Premier League, and it’s fantastic how they play... I think that suits me."

Fulham's Director of Football, Tony Khan, also welcomed Berge to the squad, stating, "Sander has tremendous experience playing in the Premier League and in international competition, and we believe that he'll be a great addition to our squad."

Berge's career began in Norway with Asker before moving to Vålerenga, where he quickly made a name for himself.

A successful stint in Belgium followed, where he played a key role in Genk's 2018/19 league title-winning campaign and earned recognition in the Champions League Breakthrough Team of the Year.

In January 2020, Sheffield United made him their record signing, and he played a crucial part in the Blades' impressive ninth-place finish in the Premier League.

After a brief but impactful season with Burnley, where he was named both Player of the Season and Players' Player of the Season, Berge now looks forward to contributing to Fulham's ambitions in the Premier League.

Berge has also been a regular for the Norwegian national team, earning 46 caps since his senior debut in a World Cup Qualifier against Northern Ireland.
