St Mirren have completed the loan signing of Crystal Palace midfielder Killian Phillips.

The Dubliner, who joined Palace from Drogheda United in 2022, has joined the  SPL outfit on a temporary basis until the summer of 2025 when he will then join on a permanent deal.

It’s the 22 year old’s second time to grace the league, having spent time on loan at Aberdeen during the 2023-24 season, and he joins a growing list of former League of Ireland players lining out for Stephen Robinson’s men.

Ex Sligo Rovers attacker Jonah Ayunga and the former Waterford duo Ronald Idowu (on loan from Shrewsbury Town) and Richard Taylor are all part of the Paisley based outfit.

Speaking to his club website, Robinson- who is joined in the dugout by Kerry native Diarmuid O’Carroll- said the following about the transfer,

"Killian is somebody we have looked at for a while,He needs a home and somewhere to settle. He’s still a young boy finding his way in his career and we have to give him that home.

"He’ll improve with the coaching, but he has the physical attributes. He’s a big boy, he can run, and he’ll hopefully help provide goals in the team as well. With a couple of bumps and knocks in the midfield it’s important we strengthen our numbers in there."
