Derry City sign former Liverpool defender Wisdom

Derry City have added to their defensive roster with the signing of former Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom.
The 31 year old, who can operate at right back or centre half, was most recently with Warrington Town.
Born in Leeds, the former England Under 21 international spent five years with the Liverpool first team- although loan moves to Derby County, West Brom, Norwich City and Red Bull Salzburg meant he only picked up a handful of appearances with The Reds.
He joined Derby County in 2017 and racked up almost a century of outings with The Rams, scoring once, ahead of his release in 2021.
Pending international clearance, he will be available for selection for The Candystripes’ trip to the RSC on Friday.
