Nottingham Forest have secured the signing of Paraguay international Ramón Sosa, with the 24-year-old winger joining from Argentina's Tallares on a five-year contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2029.

Sosa signs from Tallares, where he scored seven goals and provided six assists in just 21 appearances this season. His performances have earned him 14 caps for Paraguay.

Born in Maracana, Paraguay, Sosa began his professional career with Olimpia, where he was part of the squad that won the Copa Paraguay in 2021.

His talents quickly caught the attention of clubs abroad, leading to a move to Argentina's Gimnasia in 2022. There, he enjoyed a successful season, recording six goals and seven assists.

The following year, Sosa moved to Tallares, where he further showcased his abilities, finishing his stint with 17 goals and 13 assists across 56 appearances.

Ross Wilson, Nottingham Forest's Chief Football Officer, expressed his excitement about Sosa's arrival, stating, "Ramón has been coveted by many clubs but was so clear in his desire to join Nottingham Forest. We could all feel his energy, emotion, pride, and excitement to be here from the first minute he arrived. He can’t wait to get started, and we are delighted that he is here with us."
