Stoke City have added to their attacking options by securing the season-long loan of Wales international Lewis Koumas from Liverpool.

The 18-year-old forward, who made his first team debut for Liverpool earlier this year, is set to bring his talents to the Potters.

Koumas scored his first senior goal for Liverpool in an FA Cup match against Southampton at Anfield.

His performances have earned him a call-up to the Wales national team, where he made his debut during the summer internationals against Gibraltar and Slovakia.

During the 23/24 season, Koumas showcased his goal-scoring ability by netting 15 times in U21 and U18 competitions, while also contributing six assists across 24 appearances.

Jonathan Walters, Stoke City's Sporting Director, expressed his enthusiasm for the signing, stating, "In Lewis, we are signing a player of huge potential and I’m excited to see what the 24/25 season has in store for him in a Stoke City shirt."

Walters also acknowledged Liverpool's trust in sending one of their top young talents to Stoke City, noting, "We are thankful to Liverpool for entrusting us with one of their brightest prospects ahead of other interested clubs."

Koumas is expected to be available for selection in Stoke City's upcoming match against Carlisle United on Tuesday evening.
