Middlesbrough have confirmed the signing of 20-year-old attacking midfielder Micah Hamilton from Manchester City.

The Manchester-born player has penned a four-year contract with the Championship club.

Hamilton, a product of Manchester City's academy, made his mark by progressing through the U18 and U21 ranks.

He made his senior debut in the UEFA Champions League, where he scored his first goal during a thrilling 3-2 victory against Red Star Belgrade. His versatility has seen him operate both as a number 10 and on the wings, and he has also represented England at the U16 and U20 levels.

Boro head coach Michael Carrick expressed his enthusiasm about the new signing, stating, "Micah is an exciting young player who we're looking forward to working with. He's already been in and around the senior side at Man City - he's got that experience from playing in the Champions League - and he is another great addition to the squad."
