Chesterfield acquire Colombia International on loan from Fulham

Chesterfield have bolstered their defence by signing Colombia international Devan Tanton on a season-long loan from Fulham.
The 20-year-old right wing-back expressed his enthusiasm about the move, saying, "I’m very happy to get it over the line and to start training with the lads."
Tanton feels ready to advance in his career. "I feel like I’ve done everything I could at academy level and it’s time to start progressing and getting professional minutes more consistently," he explained.
Born to an American father and a Colombian mother, Tanton grew up in Orlando, Florida, before relocating to Spain. His talent was recognised during his time with the United States U17s, leading to his recruitment by Fulham in 2021.
Tanton made his debut for Fulham in a Carabao Cup match against Ipswich Town last November, following a loan period at Walton & Hersham.
The defender then made his international debut for Colombia as a substitute in their 1-0 win over Venezuela after switching his allegiance.
