Portsmouth sign ex QPR midfielder Andre Dozzell
Portsmouth have announced the signing of midfielder Andre Dozzell on a one-year contract, with an option for an additional 12 months.
The 25-year-old joins after leaving Queens Park Rangers at the end of the last season.
Portsmouth manager John Mousinho expressed his enthusiasm about the new addition, highlighting Dozzell's extensive experience in the Championship.
"Andre brings plenty of Championship experience, having spent the majority of his career at this level," said Mousinho.
"He’s chosen to come here over other options and is someone who has a real ambition to succeed at this club."
Mousinho continued, "Andre is a very technical midfielder and has the athleticism to get around the pitch and compete, so we’re delighted to welcome him to Pompey."
Dozzell, a product of Ipswich Town's academy, made his debut for the Tractor Boys at just 16 years old.
In the summer of 2021, he was acquired by QPR, where he made 98 appearances before spending the latter part of the last season on loan at Birmingham City.
In addition to his club career, Dozzell has represented England at youth levels, being part of the squad that won the European U19 Championship in 2017.
